Pisang Peak Climbing Highlights

Pisang Peak offers exotic view of Annapurna Range in Manang District. It is one of the moderately challenging and adventurous climbing peaks in Annapurna Region needing certain level of physical fitness and stamina. Some veterans and experienced mountain climbers take it as one of the easy climbing peaks but the beginners find it still challenging with a great deal of adventure. On the ascend, there are places where long icy sections exist, which the climbers have to cross using their climbing skills and expertise. Almost shaped as a pyramid of ice and snow, Pisang Peak is one of the perfect peak climbing destinations operating in the western Himalayas of Nepal.

Pisang Peak Weather and Season
Pisang Peak is one of the most favorite peaks located in Annapurna region, which is located in a rain shadow Area. Because of the fact that Pisang Peak exists within a rain shadow area, it can be climbed in any time of the year. However, there are certain seasons which offer the best weather condition to summit the peak. For the clearest weather and best mountain views, October and November are regraded as the best times whereas, the times between March to May are regarded as the second best time in terms of weather clarity. June and July are the monsoon months with sporadic torrential rains which may impede the mountain views and cause delays at some points.

Fitness for Pisang Peak Climbing
Pisang Peak Climbing , one of the most popular peaks located in Annapurna region is known for its medium difficulty. Technically challenging, Pisang Peak is categorized as a strenuous trekking destination with six to seven hourse of walking every day. There will be acclimatization day on which travelers can stop and rest to adapt to the newer climatic zone, which will prove to be helpful to gain physical stamina needed for Pisang Peak Climbing. To be physically fit, therefore, is very important because impediments on the journey can be faced without physical fitness. There will be a training and practice session about climbing peak at the Base Camp of Pisang Peak.

Best Season for Pisang Peak
Pisang Peak situated in Annapurna Region is regarded as easy climbing peak recommendable both for amateur and Expert Mountain and peak climbers. Weather plays vital role in the success of the trekking in the Himalayas and it is the same with mountain and peak climbing. When it comes to climbing Pisang Peak, we have to take weather into consideration. Autumn (September and October) and Spring (March, April and May) are the best seasons for climbing Pisang Peak. Other seasons thatn Autumn and Springs are not propitious. Summer Season is too wet and rainy wheras winter season is too frigid for climbing Pisang Peak.

How to approach Naya Kanga Peak
Naya Kanga is a fmous trekking destination in Langtang Region. Prior to the beginning of the hiking to Kaya Kanga, we do a brief sightseeing of major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Then we will have approximately seven hour drive to Dhunche (1966m) from where we traverse into Lama Hotel(2470m), Langtang Village(3440m), Kyangjing (3870m), and Kang High Camp(4960m). At Kanga High Camp, we carry out a small climbing session that will boost your confidence and hone your climbing skills. After the successful victory over Naya Kanga Peak, we trace all the way back to Dhunche en route to Kathmandu.

 

Pisang Peak Climbing Permit Fee
Pisang Peak(6091m), situated in Annapurna Region is one of the most adventurous peaks. The climbing permit cost for Pisang Peak as Nepal Mountaineering Association has brought into effect is given below:

1. Spring (June, July, August)- USD$250
2. Autumn (September, October, November)- USD$125
3. Summer (June, July, August)- USD$70
4. Winter (December, January, February)- USD$70

Pisang Peak Climbing permit fees being more expensive in Spring and Autumn is because they are the best seasons for peak climbing as compared to Summer and Winter, which tend to be too overcast and excessively cold. Autumn and Spring offer best weather and climate.

The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 KG.
