Mustang– Lo Manthang Cost USD1800 is in effect at Himalayan Wild Treks which is the reasonable price when the cost may vary at different local and international companies. Moreover, Himalayan Wild Treks offers best Mustang- Lo Manthang Trek Itinerary and latest updated Mustang- Lo Manthang Trek Google Map. We also organize ten days Upper Mustang - Lomanthang Trekking which starts and ends at Pokhara.

The phenomenal aspect of the trekking is that Mustang itself is a kingdom under the tutelage of Nepal regime with its own king named Jigme Palbar Bista. Known as an abandoned kingdom or lost kingdom, the arid landscape here unfolds the flora and fauna similar to that of Tibetan highland. Mustang that remained detached for years because of its geographical complication unveils several other things with Tibet like lifestyle, culture, and the religion, sharing  the border with southern Tibet. The dominant ethnic groups Tibetan and Thakali people here lead a typical rustic lifestyle and follow Buddhism. On reaching Lo- Mangthang from  Mustang, the trekkers get carried away by the magnificent valley where shrubs grow and the stone-built Tiibetan and Thakali picturesque settlements are the ingredients  worth  exploring.

Lo- Manthang is noted for its tall, white-dyed structures and Gompas among which there are four major Gompas built during 14th century: Jampa Gompa, Thubchen Gompa, Chodey Gompa and Chomprang Gompa which have become the major tourist attraction since the region was opened as a new trekking trail in 1992. The dry, rugged land with many barren sandy lands make a masterpiece of mosaic. Located behind Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, Mustang indeed seems to be a world detached to exist differently with its spectacular landscape in the far-flung wilderness. Walking at a medium wilderness, exploring the culture, lifestyle, settlements and highland of the mustang meanwhile venturing  through the exotic topography makes this trekking phenomenal. The inhabitants here rely on agriculture and livestock.
